As of 2020 and the pandemic, working online via zoom is possible. Face-to-face sessions are available when possible.
I offer two ways of working:
* short-term work of 12 sessions, where we agree a goal for what needs to be worked on at the outset and stay within that
* open-ended, long-term work which allows for themes to emerge
Most of my clients prefer the latter because we don't always know what the main source of the problem is until we have worked together for a while.
Both of these involve setting a regular time slot and meeting weekly for 50 minutes at the time agreed. Sessions are 50 minutes long, which is fairly standard in psychotherapy.
Research shows that the relationship between therapist and client is all-important in achieving a result so it is important to find the right person.
